Banh Cuon (Steamed Rice Rolls)
Banh Cuon - another tradition dish in Ha Noi is a light and delicate one that you can have for breakfast. This dish is famous not only for its unique taste but also for the way it’s made. Firstly, the chef soaks the type of delicious and high-quality rice in water for several hours. After being fished out and pureed, the mixture is steamed on a white cloth placed on a hot pot of boiling water. In order to make this dish more special, the chef will add some tasty ingredients like ground pork meat and minced mushrooms in the middle of the thin rice sheet. Finally, the rice sheet is rolled up before being cut with scissors into bite-sized pieces. Like most of Vietnamese dishes, Banh Cuon will be eaten with fish sauce added chilies, garlic, lime as a dipping sauce.

But according to some chefs in Ha Noi, for the best Cha Ca La Vong dish, fish - the main ingredients should be catfish in Song Da river because they don’t have lots of bones and their meat also are more crispy and tough when being grilled than other types of fish.
Cha Ca goes with some typical condiments like garlic, ginger, turmeric, and dill served on a sizzling pan. Once ready, a bowl of rice noodles, peanuts, sliced spring onions, red chili slices, dipping sauce are mixed together with the turmeric fish. Trust me, this dish is absolutely amazing!
